This morning I was told by 811 Gopher State One Call that MINNEAPOLIS PARKS BOARD as of March 10, 2025 has put in another ticket 250691403 to plant even more trees along the boulevards in our neighborhoods. Why is this a problem?

Jeff Bean with the Minneapolis Parks Board has put in another ticket to place more trees along the boulevards when they dont even want to take care of the damaged sidewalks that the trees they have already planted throughout Minneapolis. Last year when I complained about the sidewalks and the tree damages I was told that I, as a property owner is responsible for the Damage even if it is caused by the trees. This is the location or the work being done and the customer remarks:

Problem:
Mr. Bean and the Minneapolis Parks Board is not even concerned with the damages that their trees hae already caused the sidewalks and no where in their work order does it state that they will be repairing the damaged sidewalks nor does it state that they will maintain the sidewalks where they are planting the trees. Apparently, Mr. Bean and Minneapolis Parks Board expects not only the current property owners and residents to repair their damages but also future property owners. If they Plant the trees they need to be responsible for the damages it causes the PUBLIC SIDEWALKS.
I spoke with Mr. Bean and just like every other time I have called I get excuses and now I am told to call the Minneapolis Streets Department. He did tell me that "Nope we just plate the trees we dont take care of the damage that our trees cause". Thats someone else.
I just spoke with Judy of Minneapolis 311 who refused to connect me to the City of Minneapolis but she also confirmed that we, as home and business owners, are are responsible for the Trees that the City of Minneapolis and the Parks Department plant. This is not right.
If you are as frustrated with this as I am please sign up and state your case so that we can put together a protest event to force the City of Minneapolis and the Parks Department to take responsibilty of their own trees, instead of dumping it on the residents or Minneapolis.
Judy did inform me that she would have an inspector reach out to me and explain this.
